About us
Asheville Movement Collective envisions a world that moves in harmony where all are free to be their authentic selves within a loving community. Our mission and aim are to inspire authenticity and healthy community through free-form dance by hosting dance waves for personal and community transformation.
We host three dances per week, plus some special events.
Though you may notice just a few RSVPs on this site, our typical attendance is 20-30 on Friday, 50-60 for Sunday first wave, and a little over 100 for second wave.

Join us for an evening of outdoor dance at the Warren Wilson College pavilion, where moonlight and movement weave together in a field of possibility. Let the glow of the moon guide your journey as we dance beneath the stars, held by the elements and the rhythms of the wave.About the DJ
DJ Kristikka, Kris Hostikka loves creating a sacred container that takes you on an inward journey utilizing rhythm to move us from quiet embodiment to chaos and down into stillness and integration. She feels that movement is medicine, weaving intention and a rich blend of world beats where it’s possible to be with what is and open to what wants to be seen, felt and moved. This is an invitation to explore love in motion. Maybe it’s about dancing with yourself or another in a loving way or feeling into how love would move if it was embodied. Can we be that? Are we already being that without changing anything?
Megan Belling (DJ Esmæ) (facilitator pathway)DJ Esmæ has been moving in the world of ecstatic dance for over 13 years and sharing musical journeys as a DJ for the past 5. Her sets weave sound into pathways of remembrance, honoring the unfolding of one’s own becoming. She invites an awakening of expression and emotion that may have been resting beneath the surface. Through tension, rhythm, and texture, she holds space for dancers to return to themselves.
